An
open letter to those interested in Kaufer Company Design Services:
Kaufer’s
has participated in numerous projects in the Northwest involving
the design and fabrication of church furnishings and art. We offer
both custom and stock designs and original works of art that complement
and enhance their respective environments. Some of the custom
furnishings we have provided include
Altar;
Ambo; Chair; Ambry; Baptismal font; Processional cross; Paschal
and altar candlesticks; Tabernacle.
We
also represent pew and chair manufacturers, woodcarvers and marble
artisans in Italy, vestment makers, interior color and design
consultants, stained glass studios, and liturgical artists in
virtually all mediums. After 100 years in business (1904-2004)
Kaufer’s has developed an extensive network to serve the
churches’ needs.
My
own involvement has spanned more than 30 years; I have worked
with pastors and committees of varied denominations. Some of Kaufer’s
projects in recent years are listed on the next page.
Kaufer’s
also has an ongoing working partnership with liturgical designer
Rogers Hornsby of Chicago, who is responsible for the design,
fabrication, and installation of liturgical art and furnishings
in over 600 churches around the country, and an exclusive partnership
with A. Anderson Wood Studio. Pictures available of much of these
works on request.
I
would be more than happy to explore any and all possibilities
with you.
Sincerely,
Ed
